Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2024 · Effective immediately upon use of the LawImmunity app
LawImmunity is a safety application. To protect you, we must collect certain personal data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and who can see it. We do not sell your data. Ever.
1. Who we are
LawImmunity is a safety and software company. Our flagship product is the LawImmunity mobile application, available on iOS and Android. Our registered contact email is info@lawimmunity.com.
2. What data we collect and why
Account information
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account email address, display name, and profile photo. This is used to create and identify your account within our system.
Phone number
During registration we may collect your phone number for account verification and to allow nominees to identify you.
GPS location data
When you enable location sharing, your real-time GPS coordinates are transmitted to our secure servers. This data is shared exclusively with the nominees you have approved. Location data is updated continuously while sharing is enabled, including when the app runs in the background. You can disable location sharing at any time from the app dashboard.
Video recordings
When you initiate a live emergency recording, your camera and microphone are used to stream video directly to our secure cloud servers. This recording cannot be deleted from your device or by any third party — this is a core safety feature to preserve evidence. Recordings are accessible to you and your approved nominees through the nominee portal at nominee.lawimmunity.com.
Nominee contacts
You may add trusted individuals as nominees. We store their name, phone number, and unique identifier. Nominees receive access to your live location and emergency videos only when you have explicitly enabled sharing or triggered a recording.
Subscription and purchase data
We track your subscription status, trial activation, subscription end date, and recording minutes used and remaining. In-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not store your payment card details.
Usage and analytics data
We use the following third-party analytics services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — tracks app usage events and crash data
- Facebook App Events (Meta) — tracks installs and certain in-app actions for attribution
- UXCam — records screen interactions to help us understand usability and improve the app
On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before any cross-app tracking occurs.
Feedback and exit data
If you choose to provide a reason for leaving the app during sign-out, that text is stored in our database to help us improve the product. This is entirely optional.
3. How we store your data
All user data, including location, video recordings, and account information, is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (Firestore and Cloud Storage), hosted in the United States. Firebase is a certified, enterprise-grade cloud platform with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
4. Who can see your data
- You — you always have full access to your own data
- Your approved nominees — can see your live location and emergency videos, but only when you have enabled sharing or triggered a recording
- LawImmunity team — has administrative access for operational and support purposes only
- Third-party analytics providers — Firebase, Meta, and UXCam receive anonymized usage data as described above
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any other party.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Emergency video recordings may be scheduled for deletion after a period set by the system, unless you choose to preserve them using the "Do Not Delete" option in the app. You may request deletion of your entire account and all associated data by using the "Delete Account" option in the Settings screen, or by contacting us at info@lawimmunity.com.
6. Children's privacy
LawImmunity is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent for location sharing or analytics tracking at any time through your device settings or within the app.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@lawimmunity.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
